Since 2004, we have operated with a strong and experienced project management team and taken developments through from concept to completion. We bring organisation, expertise, direction and value to all our projects and will be proud to hand over the keys to your new home.
We also now offer Orange Homes Construction, our building contract services, specialising in the construction of new houses, extensions and barn conversions in the North East of England including Co. Durham, Northumberland, and Tyne and Wear and in particular areas such as Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham, Morpeth, Hexham, Consett, Medomsley, Iveston, Prudhoe, Sunderland, Birtley and other areas.
Natural stone and slate are a particular speciality. For example, some of the best stonework in the North East of England can be viewed at our Iveston, Co. Durham development. We would love to be given the opportunity to tender for any barn conversion, new build or extension work.
We offer new build development and undertake maintenance contracts to Housing Associations and RSLs as well as commercial/ office refurbs.
A current site we are working on is 4 new build bungalows made from blockwork with wood cladding and tiled roofs.
We have in-house skills for

- bricklaying
- plastering skills, groundworks and foundations, drainage
- site set up and
- general building and construction
- a tightly controlled team of subcontractors for all the other trades
- new build, barn converion and extension work
Our contracts since 2002 include:
1. Conversion of stone barns at Medomsley, Consett into five 2,3 and 4 bedroom houses. This included external gravel and tarmac driveways, block paviours, garage blocks, turfing and soft landscaping, field fencing to paddocks. All drainage was implemented as well as new water, drainage, gas, electric and telecoms connections.
2. New build of four 2-storey stone 3 and 4 bed houses at Iveston, Consett. This included groundworks and foundations, drainage and external and ancillary works as above.
3. New build of four 2-bed wood-cladded bungalows near Prudhoe. This included groundworks and foundations, drainage and external and ancillary works as above.
4. Refurbishment of fourteen flats at Belmont, Durham and construction of six new flats on the same site. The refurbishment included some partioning work to change room layouts, extensions, new kitchens, bathroom suites, flooring, boilers and decorating, roof repairs, external tarmacing, block paving, turfing and landscaping.
5. Conversion and extension of taxi office above sandwich shop into 1 bed self-contained apartment in Birtley.
6. Conversion of 1 bed terraced house in Gateshead to 2 bed terraced house with refurbishment and extension.
We recently obtained our NHBC registration and are proud to have earned this recognition for our work. We are being entered into the NHBC's regional best small builder awards for our recent work in Iveston. We are NHBC Registered Builder No. 92300. We have full £5m public liability insurance and Contractors All Risk insurance for our building development and constrution work.
Finally, although we achieve high standards and are a well capitalised company, we are inexpensive and regularly win building and construction contracts on price alone, let alone quality.
